is how many times you breathe everyday*, enabling more than 10,000 litres of air to transit through the lungs, regulating your oxygen intake and blood pH.

One can’t live* more than:
- 3 months without moving,
- 3 weeks without eating,
- 3 days without drinking,
- 3 minutes without breathing.
70
in square meters, is the average total surface area for gas exchange for two adult lungs. It compares to a tennis court. It’s approximately twice the surface area of the digestive tract, making it the largest exchange surface between the body and its environment.
These three facts highlight how important and fundamental is the breathing function.
And yet, most people do not train to breathe properly. Fitness programs typically ignore it. Breathing practices have historically been either ignored or confined to esoteric or spiritual practices.
It is time to fix this.
It is time to take breathwork out of the yoga mat or meditation cushion and brings it to your normal day.
It is time to bring breathing practices to everyday wellness.

Sébastien Zappa
Sebastien Zappa, PhD, has been teaching conscious breathing and cold exposure since 2018. He became interested in these practices while searching for solutions to recurrent depressive episodes and chronic fatigue. His teachings are mainly based on the REBO2T, Oxygen Advantage and Wim Hof methods, which he was taught by their respective founders. He is also certified in SomaTraining/ELDOA, whose stretchings are a perfect combination with respiratory training. As a scientist by profession, he offers a reasonable and accessible approach to anyone who wants to improve their quality of life.

Patrick McKeown
Patrick’s Oxygen Advantage was my first encounter with the part of breathing I am the most interested in: how to breathe properly 24/7. The goal of the OA is to make you breathing efficiently for whatever your day looks like.
Sustained relaxation, athletic performances, mental focus, stress management, sleep etc, All these can be addressed (at least partially) by breathing properly. As a science-oriented person, I also immediately appreciated Patrick’s care to deliver a reasonable message.
I was trained by Patrick and became an Advanced OA intructor in 2021 and a Master Instructor in 2022.
Jesse Coomer
Jesse is the founder of the Language of Breath. He approaches breathing as a language that we can use to install a dialogue between our conscious and unconscious selves.
The theoritical frame and the practice are simple – but not simplistic – and accessible to anyone. LoB describes in an elegant way how to use your breathing to manipulate your nervous system and have a better control of your mind. LoB also emphasizes on giving an ethical approach of breathwork.
In 2025, I was trained by Jesse and became a certified LoB breathworker.
Yvan Cam
As a pionneer of breathwork in France, Yvan is the founder of the REBO2T method, a very unique, inovative, complex and complete approach of breathwork, addressing anatomy and physiology of breathing but also the connection with emotions and the mind.
REBO2T took me to a deeper understanding of the connection between breathing, posture, movement, but also the body components of emotions.
I was trained by Yvan and became an official REBO2T practicioner in 2022.

Peter Litchfield
Peter is the founder of the Professional School of Behavioral Health Sciences, where he teaches the psychophysiological aspect of breathing: how to make sure that behaviors enable proper breathing physiology.
Peter’s approach is centered on the connection between behaviors and breathing physiology through CO2 levels. The goal is to identity and correct habits that negatively impact breathing physiology.
This approach definitely satisfies my “physiology nerd” side but it was also challenging since psychology and behavioral sciences were very new concepts for me. But I like challenges 😉
I was trained by Peter in 2024 and obtained my Professional Certificate in the Science of Breathing Behavior Analysis.
Wim Hof
I met Wim at two occasions in 2018, when I took the training to become a WHM instructor. Back in the day, the certification was more affordable and Wim was with us and very approchable.
I had the opportunity to hang out with him one day in Los Angeles during the Advanced Module, and 4 days in Oregon during the Master Module.
Intense practice of the WHM breathing techniques were for me a gateway to the rich and fascinating world of breathwork.
After some times, I realized the WHM breathing techniques were only the tip of the tip of the iceberg. I needed to explore more…
I decided not to renew my WHM licence in 2025. But I am grateful for all the things I learned thanks to him.
Lisa-Marie Farley / Petra Beathmann
ELDOA is the acronyme of “Étirements Longitudinaux avec Décoaptation Ostéo-Articulaires”, which in French means “Longitudinal Stretching with Osteoarticular Decoaptation”. Still not clear? To say more simply, we use these exercices to “create space in and lubricate joins while reinforcing postural muscles and overall body awareness”.
These very specific exercises focus on the myofascial health of the spine and peripheral joints. In addition to strengthening deep postural muscles, these exercises develop proprioception and can be an excellent support for manual therapies. I typically combine them with breathing classes, by working on the spine, hips, thoracic cage and shoulders.
I obtained my certifications from Lisa-Marie Farley for ELDOA 1&2 and the myofascial stretches module in 2021, and from Petra Baethmann for ELDOA 3 in 2024.
